There’s a stirring inside of my heart, to DO SOMETHING for you
Although I don’t know exactly what you would like me to do.
I open my Bible to hear your voice, and there I am told
to be lead by your Holy Spirit I must be willing and be bold
You give me beautiful ideas that take me out of my comfort zone
and remind that you are with me, I’m not doing this alone
I know how much we all need to feel your warm embrace
To know that we are loved and cherished in this place
This place that is our world, what have we become, do we really see?
Am I being all that you have created me to be?
God, keep this passion burning inside of my heart
Let today be the day that I stand up to do my part
Help me see what I’ve been missing, distracted by other things
Help me be your bold princess, my sweet father, the King of Kings

Life, Love, Passion

What does it truly mean to live?
Answer: love, sacrifice, and give.
What does it truly mean to love?
Answer: a heart filled with the one, above.
What does it mean to sacrifice?
Answer: give your time, give your life.
What else do I need to give,
In order to truly live?
Answer: it’s not “what else” it’s “how”,
it’s “when”, and the time is now
it’s “why” you give, sacrifice, and love
it’s following the one above
When you let go of your plan
stand up and take His hand
Open the eyes of your heart to see
Everything completely differently

Proverbs 3:5 & 6 – Trust God’s plan and live joyfully

“5-Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.
6-In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”  NIV

I used to blame a lot of the circumstances that happened in my life on God.  Ultimately, He is the one in charge, right?  The one in control of everything?  That was my understanding anyway.  How do we trust God when He causes so much turmoil in our lives?  The path that I was once on, was anything but straight.  In fact, I feel like I’ve been on a roller coaster, most of my life, so many ups and downs, twists and turns.  Now I look at this verse and it brings quite a bit of wisdom.  My problems began when I stopped trusting God and starting leaning on my own understanding.  That’s when my life seemed overwhelming and unstable.  As I got to know God, by reading His word and spending time with him in prayer, I realized there is so much more to the story than I used to see.  I’ve also learned through experiences, that God’s timing is almost always, different than mine.  I’ve watched Him do such amazing things in my life that I understand enough to know that my understanding of all that God is, does not come close to His perfect identity.  I have also learned how His love never fails!  Knowing this and that He has great plans for my life, makes it a bit easier to trust Him.  It may not always be easy to walk on the straight and narrow path ahead, and there are ups and downs along the way, but it’s still filled with joy when I trust God.
